Take a scheduled workshop or contact me to arrange a private creative experience for friends, family, or your group. Workshops are welcoming, relaxed, and designed to help you create jewelry you’ll be proud to wear.
1. Make & Take Beaded Bracelet
Create your own bracelet from start to finish using a curated bead bar of glass, gemstone, and metal accents. This relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop is perfect if you’re new to jewelry making or simply want a fun creative break.
You’ll learn
- How to design a bracelet using color, balance, and focal beads
- How to string beads on stretch cord or beading wire
- How to finish your bracelet securely so it’s ready to wear
You’ll leave with
- One finished bracelet—or two, if time allows
- Basic bracelet instructions and supply recommendations
- Confidence to recreate the project at home
What’s included: Base beads, use of tools, stretch cord or beading wire, findings, and instruction. Gemstone upgrades are available in the shop if you’d like to further customize your design.
2. Solder-Free Joining Techniques
Want the look of finished jewelry without using a torch? In this workshop, we’ll explore solder-free—or “cold connection”—techniques for connecting components, charms, and chains with simple hand tools.
You’ll learn
- How to open and close jump rings correctly and securely
- How to attach clasps, charms, and connectors
- Basic wire-wrapping techniques for links and dangles
- How to create sturdy, wearable pieces without soldering
You’ll leave with
- A finished bracelet, anklet, or simple necklace
- Practice links you can keep for future reference
- A better understanding of how jewelry findings work together
What’s included: Use of Beadsmith tools, jump rings, basic chain, clasps, practice wire, and instruction. Additional beads and gemstone accents may be purchased in the shop.
3. Gemstone Stringing Basics
This workshop is perfect if you’ve been admiring the gemstone strands in the studio and wondering where to begin. We’ll cover the fundamentals of stringing beads on beading wire and finishing your jewelry with crimps and a clasp.
You’ll learn
- How to plan a gemstone design using beads and spacers
- How to measure, cut, and prepare beading wire
- How to use crimps and crimping pliers for a secure finish
- How to size and arrange your design so it sits comfortably
You’ll leave with
- One finished gemstone bracelet or simple necklace
- A better understanding of jewelry-stringing materials
- Confidence to use gemstone strands in your own designs
What’s included: Use of tools, beading wire, crimps, basic metal spacers, and instruction. Gemstone strands and specialty beads are selected and purchased separately, allowing you to choose the look and budget that suit you.
4. Make Sterling Silver Stacking Rings
Learn introductory metalsmithing and soldering techniques while creating a versatile set of everyday stacking rings. This hands-on workshop gives you foundational skills you can build upon for more advanced projects.
You’ll learn
- How to measure, cut, and form a ring to size
- How to select and use solder and flux
- How to safely operate a small butane torch
- How to encourage solder to flow and create a strong joint
You’ll leave with
- A set of three to five handcrafted stacking rings
- An understanding of common solder and flux options
- Greater confidence using a small torch for jewelry projects
What’s included: All project materials, including silver or copper wire, solder, and flux, plus use of jewelry-making tools and a butane torch.
